Celebrate Earth Day with The Lands Council by planting trees! Please join us on Sunday, April 22nd from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at a site along Deadman Creek near Mead. We’ll be planting an assortment of native species along the creek that will help improve water quality by filtering pollutants, preventing soil erosion, cooling stream temperatures, and enhancing fish and wildlife habitat. Please dress for the weather (e.g. layers, long pants, raingear, etc.), bring a shovel and work gloves (if you have them), and prepare to get dirty (and wet if it’s raining). Coffee and snacks will be provided.
