Description

4th Annual Free the Snake Flotilla & River Recreation Day!! Bring your kayak, canoe, jetboat, dory, raft, pontoon, motor boat, drift boat or other vessel and join us for an easy paddle on the lower Snake River in support of removing four deadbeat dams to restore a free-flowing river and wild salmon and steelhead.

Camping: We have reserved more than 60 campsites at Chief Timothy Park for the evening of Friday, Sept. 7 and Saturday, Sept. 8. All tent sites and RV sites are first-come, first-served. You do not need to make a reservation with the park. Flotilla volunteers will collect $10 per tent and $20 per RV (per night) at the park entrance to help cover the cost of reserving the park. Cash only.

Directions: To Chief Timothy from Lewiston, Idaho and Clarkston, Washington – Take Highway 12 west for 8.2 miles from downtown Clarkston. Turn right at Silcot Grade Road and cross a short bridge to Silcot Island and Chief Timothy Park.

Initial sponsors include EarthJustice, Save Our Wild Salmon, Friends of the Clearwater, Nimiipuu Protecting the Environment, Idaho Rivers United, Sierra Club, The Lands Council, Wild Steelhead Coalition, Earth Ministry, American Whitewater and Patagonia.
