Endowment Fund

The Lands Council is pleased to announce that it has recently established a permanent endowment fund – The Lands Council Endowment Fund.

Establishing an endowment fund is an important step to help The Lands Council achieve long-term financial stability and security. The Lands Council Endowment Fund has been initially funded with a very generous bequest of $100,000 that we recently received in the will of a deceased member. The Lands Council Endowment Fund is being managed by a local investment firm. In addition, a committee from The Lands Council’s Board of Directors helps to supervise the endowment fund.

Our endowment fund is a permanent fund and the principal amount in the fund will never be used for the operating expenses of the organization. However, the principal amount in the fund will be grown with the expectation that when the principal amount has grown to a sufficient level, it will generate income which may be used to help sustain our important programs. The Lands Council has been doing outstanding work in the Inland Northwest for over 30 years. Making a contribution to our endowment fund will help insure that The Lands Council and our important work will be sustainable for generations to come. That is important to all of us.

Consider leaving a lasting legacy for conservation and help protect our treasured Inland Northwest forests, water, and wildlife. Making a tax deductible contribution to The Lands Council Endowment Fund will create a lasting impact for the resources and the nature that you value.

There are two simple ways to make a contribution to The Lands Council Endowment Fund:
