Calling all public lands enthusiasts! Campfire Stories: Tales From Our Public Lands is back! Cozy up and celebrate our public lands on November 19 with this year’s theme: Renewal.
Have you witnessed a burned hillside turn green again after a wildfire? Watched a forest come back to life after a long winter, or the felt the joy of returning to a trail, river, or favorite view after time away?
Tell us about an experience you had of renewal, restoration, or rebirth on public lands. Renewal doesn't always mean returning to the way things were; it can also mean growing into something new. Share a time the outdoors changed you, challenged you, surprised you, or helped you find your way forward.
We're looking for storytellers whose tales begin in one place and end somewhere else entirely, or come full circle in surprising ways. Perhaps your story starts in loss and ends in growth, or starts in doubt and ends in hope. Wherever yours starts, we want to hear where it goes.
We are looking for 6-8 storytellers for this event. Stories should be no more than 8 minutes long. We will be available to help you craft your tale before the event.
If you want to share your story of renewal, please send us a three sentence pitch. Submissions are due by November 6th.
Come be in community with other local organizations and people that work to conserve, educate, and improve access to our public lands this fall. We hope to see you there!
