Last month, we hosted our first storytelling event: Campfire Stories: Tales from Our Public Lands. This first event’s theme was “epic” and held in the Saranac Commons. Storytellers pitched their ideas, honed their stories, and each told a short story. Friend and TLC supporter, Craig Hill, ended the event with a bang by spontaneously telling an epic story in Salish! WE have already started to plan our next storytelling event - it will be Thursday, February 23rd in the Wonder Building and the theme is “encounters.” For more information: landscouncil.org/events/ campfire-stories-tales-from-our-public-lands.
Thank you to our community and all of the storytellers who joined us!
And thank you to our community partners for your support: Out There Outdoors, KYRS, Spokane Mountaineers, Northeast Washington Forest Coalition, Washington Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, Spokane Riverkeeper, Black Label Brewing Company, and Peace Pie.
