Tadpoles: The Little Migration

Tadpoles: The Little Migration, a short film by Maxwel Hohn

Multi-award winning mini nature documentary, shot over four years in British Columbia. Winner of Best Underwater Cinematography at the Canadian Cinematography Awards.

Four years ago I began filming tadpoles in a small lake on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. What I saw made a profound impact on me, so much so that I returned again and again, each year capturing as much of the incredible wildlife event as possible.

With a wealth of footage and an amazing migration story to tell, I partnered with storytellers Steve Woods, and Russell Clark and produced the mini nature documentary you see below.

The mini doc has already attracted a huge amount of online attention, it has entertained and educated people all around the world - even within its first few hours of streaming. The epic story of these little creatures has captured the hearts of people, and will hopefully go some way to protecting the threatened western toad species.

I hope you enjoy watching the video as much as I enjoyed making it.
