Welcome Summer Crew!

TLC is happy to welcome Grace Luoma, Jaelyn Wesche, and Ansel LaPier to our field restoration tech crew this summer! These fine folks will be helping us with a variety of tasks supporting our riparian planting and beaver dam analog (BDA) field work. We are excited to have them!

Grace is a junior at Gonzaga University, studying Civil Engineering. She grew up in Butte, Montana and loves all things outdoors, from biking to hiking, camping to backpacking, rafting to skiing, and everything in between. Through all these activities, she found her love for the outdoors. This summer, she is doing research for the University in Environmental Engineering, in addition to joining our Summer Crew.

Jaelyn grew up in Liberty Lake and enjoys being in the outdoors of the Inland Northwest. She currently attends The Community School, a project based high school in downtown Spokane and will help run her school’s first environmental club this upcoming fall: T.H.E (Truly Healthy Environment) Club. She plans on studying forestry at the University of Montana in hopes to keep forests alive and thriving. She enjoys exploring the Liberty Lake County Park and is passionate about educating the public about invasive species and water conservation.

Ansel is recent graduate of Central Valley High School and am heading to Duke University in the fall. He is interested in pursuing mechanical engineering and eventually a career in renewable energies. His hobbies include playing basketball, lifting, running, hiking, and mountain biking.
