Thank you!

Even though it was a rainy day, we still made a significant impact for our beautiful Spokane River!

On Saturday, September 18th, 526 volunteers collected 2,910 pounds of trash! That’s 1.5 tons of garbage, litter, and rubbish that could have ended up in our river.

1.5 tons = 1 and 1/2 baby humpback whales or 3 saltwater crocodiles or $58,200 in quarters! That is a hefty hunk of change!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and made this unconventional (round 2) Spokane River Clean-Up possible. We also want to thank our partners and sponsors: The City of Spokane, American Rivers, Roast House Coffee, 1st Avenue Coffee, REI, Avista, SNAP, and Washington State Parks.

We’ll see you again next year!
