Welcome Rob!

We are again excited to add a new member to Team TLC - please join us in welcoming our newest staff member, Rob Maiorino! Rob is a recent GU grad and a former restoration crew member, volunteer, and supporter. He is now the third staff member from the East Coast and we’re happy to have him in the Inland Northwest.

Rob was born and raised in southern New Jersey only a quick train ride away from the heart of Philadelphia. He spent much of his childhood recreating at either the Jersey Shore or in the Appalachian Mountains, fostering a lifelong interest in the benefits of access to outdoor recreation. This interest directed him towards pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies at Gonzaga University, where he recently completed his degree in May of 2021. Throughout this experience he took every opportunity available to explore the great community of Spokane and make a deep connection with its resources and people. Having worked on The Lands Council’s Riparian Restoration Crew for the duration of the summer and fall of 2020, Rob is a passionate supporter of conservation practices and the power that community outreach can have, and he is eager for the opportunity to further these connections with the wonderful city he now calls home.

Rob can be found exploring the many national forests and public parks in our region, as well as participating in Spokane’s arts and music scene. Whether he is playing an open mic somewhere throughout town or showing friends his favorite “hidden gem” parks, he is thrilled about getting to explore Spokane even more and the ability to meet the amazing people who make up this community.
