Holiday Story Hour

Join us for a cozy, fire-side Holiday Story Hour to talk about the co-existence of keystone species like wolves and beavers with local authors Ben Goldfarb and Eli Francovich. Ben, author of Eager: The Surprising, Secret Life of Beavers and Why They Matter, and Eli will welcome us into their fireside reading nooks to read from their books and tell us the story of how it came to be. The readings and stories will be followed by a candid conversation between the two authors on coexistence with this keystone species and an audience Q&A.

We appreciate the warmth and support of YOU and your families this holiday season.

Please RSVP here to receive the Zoom link for this event.

As our members know, The Lands Council hosts a festive and fun holiday party to thank our members for a wonderful year and to toast to a new year of work protecting our forests, water, and wildlife. While we cannot gather this year, we still wanted to bring the holiday cheer to you at your home.

We are still bringing you some of the elements of our holiday party - like the opportunity to bring home a one-of-a-kind, handmade ornament made by the local artist, David Govedare.

At our Holiday Party each year, we ask our members to help us decorate our holiday tree by purchasing a program ornament to hang on the tree. While we can’t decorate in person, we still invite you to support our programs by making a donation to support different aspects of each program. For every donation made, we will add an ornament and lights to our Lands Council tree. Help us light and decorate our tree by December 31st!
