On Saturday, October 9th, The Lands Council once again joined forces with the City of Spokane Urban Forestry team for a special tree planting - a Spokane Parks Planting! To mitigate damage from the January 2021 windstorm, our teams and volunteers planted trees in Audubon Park and Comstock Park.
In the morning, 68 volunteers planted 40 trees in Audubon Park. And in the afternoon, 59 volunteers planted 35 trees in Comstock Park. The event was also made a success by our valuable partners and supporters: Art Salvage, Audubon Neighborhood Council, Bartlett Tree Experts, the Lions Club, Spokane Master Gardeners, and Roast House Coffee.
Thank you to everyone who made this planting possible - we couldn’t do this important work without our amazing volunteers!
